Absolutely loving the slew of Pakistani American stories being produced by AJ+ recently! Please keep it up and also expand on other South Asian American community stories (Bengali, Sri Lankan, etc.) too - South Asian American stories are always so heavily focused on Indian American communities so it's nice to see stories from other South Asian American communities get the same love and attention

I spent 9 years there when the makki masjad was just one building, 4 restaurants. We used to eat once in a week on Punjab and bukhara restaurant . Later I moved to Toronto for good. Never regretted no more harassing by police and other law enforcement agencies here in Canada.

This documentary really hit home because I'm a Mexican-American and I lived here all my life but I still feel Mexican but when I go to Mexico oh I'm so an American

Pakistanis have migrated to many parts of the world. Large Pakistani communities exist in the Gulf Arab states, East Africa, South Africa, North America, Europe, South East Asia & Australia/New Zealand.

I am a Pakistani American, and the first neighborhood we moved to, when immigrating to U.S. in 1990, was Jewish Neighborhood of Kew Gardens in Queens, NY. I really miss that neighborhood. Brother, I have high regard for Jewish people here in USA, and this is the beauty of America, it is perhaps the only county in the Whole World, which gives us all the liberty and freedom to practice our own religion, so long as as we also abide by and respect the local laws and constitution of the United States. I was about 12 years of age, when moving to U.S. and after moving here, I made friends with Jews from US, as well as Israel and Kazakstan, and other former Russian republics, of course also have a ton of Christians, and many Hindus, Sikhs and Budhists, friends and coworkers. Only in America, this sort of pluralism and intermixing is possible, in such a vast array of human cultures, living side by side. Yes, there are some issues, and again here in U.S. there are also solutions, and truth comes out. Discrimination and hatred also does exists, as it does everywhere else in this World, but again U.S. people try to stop and think, and try to figure out a better way, to tolerate and learn to live with one another, and vast majority of American people are very tolerant and really don't care, who their neighbor are, as long as we all respect the laws of the land, and respect one another.

This is the kind of story that makes me proud to be an American, minus the episodes of racism.

This story is so relateable, especially seeing your father become emotional about America. Only the elders truly know the struggles and what coming to the US means for them and their famiies futures.

I think people don't realize how diverse Pakistan is, and that lends itself to how successful Pakistanis are in integrating into all cultures! From a racial and ethnic perspective, Pakistan has people from across South Asia as well as people whose features are European or Chinese or Central Asian or African, and they have all been living on that land for centuries. And geographically, Pakistan has everything from the world's highest peaks to beautiful beaches, forests, deserts and canyons. Pakistan also has places of historic religious significance to not just Muslims but also Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists as well as of course the Christian influences which came from British colonization. We have so much diversity because we are at the edge of so many distinct civilizations, including India, China, Russia, Persia, Turkic and Arab. Hopefully we are able to achieve greater security and prosperity because Pakistan has so much potential.
