Such a disappointment. I hope you internalize what you’ve done to this community

Crying and shaking right now, I can't believe you've done this.

This was a tough watch. Growth can begin from here. I believe people WILL forgive and move on.

Glad you've taken the time to reflect on this. It remains disappointing but we, your fans, understand this is a time of growth and healing. It doesn't undo the hurt but glad we can move on.

It takes a lot of courage to admit in your, some would say, egregious mistake. I will forever admire you for seeing your faults and making the necessary changes to make not only your life but all our lives better.

Wow, this was a great review of War and Peace!

Just wanted to say, your short where you open the first page of War and Peace only to discover it is volume one, and the first few lines are written in French - it motivated me to read the whole book in the original. Thank you.

The way Emmie convinced me to give War and Peace a try with her tabs video, and then feeling like I would identify more with your thoughts with this one 🤣🤣🤣

Bought Anna Karenina more than 10 years ago and after movin in 3 difrent cities and different homes with it and loads of other books, I decided it must be dealt with. Listening the audiobook and reading the text at the same time. This is how i get it done when the brain sais no.

This is very disappointing, I was hoping for a 6 hour War & Peace breakdown to serve as a counterpoint to Leaf by Leaf's recent video.

You should apologize for not continuing berserk instead ! No gifts for you this Christmas.

I have War and Peace. I don't remember how or why; I've had it for decades and I've never had the faintest urge to read it. I did love Anna Karenina, though!

Despite being irremediably Welsh, I forgive you for this cardinal sin against Russian Civilisation.

Don't feel bad, most people never read those novels, they're not easy. I haven't read them and may never get to them. Go on to Conrad, Pynchon, Buchan, McCarthy, Kerouac, Lovecraft, Greene, Spark, Delillo, Sterling, Vidal, Dean Ing, Asimov, Frank Herbert, William Gibson, Golding, Machen, Blackwood, Didion, Orwell, etc.

No!!! We’d benefit from your thoughts. No but seriously, if I wasn’t in this chapter a day read along by Simon at Footnotes & Tangents, who seems to be so well read on W&P, I wouldn’t be enjoying it. I’m enjoying it as it builds with each short chapter!

I read Anna Karenina earlier this year and I am with you. Those are hours of my life I will never get back. W&P is nowhere in my future.

Oh FFS I’m about to start reading W&P. If you can’t read it I’m screwed

I thought he was being serious for a moment, but then he mentioned McCarthy and Hurakami, and just didn’t quite pull off the straight face whilst doing so.
