Actually, it's worth noting that during the War of 1812, particularly in the Battle of Châteauguay, A few hundred French-Canadians and about two dozen Indigenous warriors managed to repel a much larger American force (7000) trying to invade. It was one of the most important battles in the War of 1812 — a turning point that helped prevent the full-scale invasion of what is now Canada.
