I would have loved to see the difference with 8GB sticks, I'm gonna give it a go on my server and find out in the morning( can't boot it up now, everyone is sleeping).

you need to increase the cpu northbridge memory controller example 1600mhz X3 =4800ghz

Hi, Thank you for uploading your testing as it was just what I was looking for, however I notice that this xeon is only 2.6Gig and think you might have saturated its throughput ? I have a X5670 @ 3.3Gig and with a dual channel memory config at 1066Mhz I saw 12Gig memory transfer. Then I overclocked the CPU to 4gig, By uping the base clock, but kept the ram at 1004Mhz and saw a memory transfer increase to 13.7Gig. So this is what makes me wonder if you are not seeing the full potential of running the triple channel due to your CPU bottle necking ? I have just ordered another stick off Ebay so I will be able to test in triple channel mode and will let you know if I see a better increase in memory performance than you did.
