I'm impressed, congrats on rearing the queen! You know what to do and from hear it's finessing the process. that was so cool to see the nasonov glands appear. good to see how the workers should react to a new queen. It was awesome to hear your commentary on what was happening as they inspected their new queen. thank you for showing us your first queen rearing!

Sometimes the queens will go back in the cell to eat the royal jelly and get stuck. Ideally the day before they are due to emerge add i small drop of honey/sugar water. Then when she emerges remove or squish the cell. Better still try and add the queen cell to the queenless colony. Thanks for sharing and take care 🐝🐝

Next time, use a little bit of propolis or wax to hold the brown cell cups in the yellow cup holders. The cups fell down as the queens were trying to emerge, which is why they couldn’t get out of the cells.

Is the only way to prevent swarming, getting the queen cells out into a finisher/separated from old queen before they hatch? Or is there something else you can do also?

The Nico system is a bad system.
If you get 30 percent it's a joke. Or you are doing something wrong.
