***UPDATE - There have been a TON of comments about whether or not metal utensils can be used on the Pit Boss Ultimate Griddle. I had previously received information that metal utensils could be used. However, after reaching out for clarification, questions about warranty issues, etc., my personal advice going forward would be to use metal utensils at your own risk. The actual User’s Manual states that “the best utensils to use are wood, silicone, or nylon, as these materials will reduce the wear on the cooking surface”. My integrity and the integrity of the information that I present to you is my number one priority! I apologize for any confusion.

Your candid attitude of this is how I use the griddle like it or not is awesome. With that, your videos are very informative. Also, your videographer deserves a significant raise. Keep up the great work.

I have absolutely no interest in owning one of these propane powered flat top griddle whatsoever. Yet, I watched this entire video from start to finish. You are very informative and have a way of holding the interest of even the non interested. Well done, sir. You have talent for this.

This is one of the best videos out there. Probably the only one. Thanks we need this to help people make the right choice. I have a Pit Boss 3 burner and a 2 burner Blackstone for camping. Love them both.

Pros and Cons. My choice is Blackstone. Fits every category with me. Very versatile. I have also cooked on flat tops for over 20 years in the military.

I'm only 1/2 through the video. I love how passionate this man gets about, what some people refer to the little things. I hope this makes sense. Great work on this video. Stay passionate amigo. 🍻

I am have been waiting for a video like this for months. I have never owned a griddle but have worked in restaurants for 30 years so I appreciate their versatility. When you do the Pro’s and Cons please take into weather and cold weather areas. Some of us can only cook outside 7-9 months a year.

The Camp Chef FTG600 has been my workhorse for years, it has never let me down. I even built an outdoor kitchen around it. I got a 22" Blackstone I for tailgating, the fire blows out if you look at it the wrong way. If I had to do it over again I'd but a small electric ceramic griddle and run it off the outlet in my truck bed. Great tips!

Happy Easter Flat Top King! Let me tell you brother I am glad you brought up being able to use metal utensils on this Pit Boss Ceramic Coated Griddle. We made French toast on this Bad Boy this morning and we decided that it wasn’t worth the effort and had lost or mojo to keep on fighting the fight. It seems that everything had a tendency to stick to the griddle and if the griddle wasn’t over laden with oils a butter it didn’t matter what we cooked on it it would stick if using silicone utensils. We’ve used this thing about 10 times and to be honest with you we were seriously going to take this thing back or put it on the curb to let someone else fight for the cause. It made the camp Chef and Black Stone look pretty darn attractive. Thank you for your videos and honesty and keep up the good work. God Bless!!!

I sure would like to see all cooks going forward on the pit boss to have metal utensils used, for all the pit boss you tubers. If pit boss is sending you guys those emails, then by all means use them.

metal on the flat top is one of my decisions, the other is the char/crust for burgers and steaks. There's a lot flavors developed during the process.

thanks for the content
