I have always wanted to ask you about a video on GA but thought it wouldn't appeal to enough people. Thank you so much, Ive had GA for 20 years.

In and out of the dermatologist office, every cream, don’t want injections 😧. This was more informative than those who have charged an arm and a leg. Thank you so much. The responses are wonderful too! Thank you everyone 💗

I just got diagnosed with this and my first thought was “I bet Dr. Dray has a video about it” LOL.

Thanks this was more in depth than what the derm I saw told me about it.

Thank you for this, I'm had GA on my arms for about 7 yrs. I have tried every treatment you mentioned and nothing helps at all. I've given up and just live with it now.

Thanks for sharing this. I have had this disease since I was 7 years old, and I am now 23. It has only grown larger throughout the years, and more spots have formed. Backs of arms, hands, knees. It is extremely frustrating to see that there is not much medical clarity for this disease. When I was first diagnosed at 11 years old, I was told it would go away on its own within 5 years. This definitely did not happen! I hope to see more updates in the future and more progression for this. Thanks Dr. Dray.

Thank you for this. I have had generalized granulare for over 15 years. Because mine was so bad the dermatologist did not recommend the light therapy. (Mainly the price. And that it would just come back.) For years it was on my hands, from above the elbows to several inches below (both). It was also on both legs. Thank goodness it wasn’t on my face although it was close to around hairline and eyebrow. I live in Georgia (where our summers are hot and humid) but stopped wearing a swim suit or even shorts. I would wear long sleeves and long pants even in the summer. Not because I was vain, but because when people see it they think you have something contagious. The only times it has gotten better was when my steroids had to be increased for my lupus. But the only time it completely went away was when the lupus started affecting my brain/central nervous system. I was on incredibly high doses of steroids for over a year. I am down to 5mg/day and it is already coming back-a spot on my wrist and one on my shin. I am NOT advising for anyone to take oral steroids. I have struggled with losing the 35lb I gained and have a decreased bone density, cataracts, etc. I would have never taken it for granuloma alone. Regarding the hydroxychloroquine, as someone with lupus I have been taking that for years and it never helped. My drs didn’t believe me that my lesions were painful. Not all the time. Mainly if I bumped them against something. I guess the areas were just so sensitive? Probably more than the average person wants to know...

Hi
I have Granuloma Annulare and I've cured it. I had infections in my body. I feel u need to look at the body as the system that it is. The skin will show up any sickness within. I had a severe bladder infection. It was treat with minocycline. I also had a few bad teeth. It is the by-product of another problem. I hope this information helps. We need to stop looking at our bodies as as separate. It is a system. The same as a car. One thing goes wrong and it effects other things. My rash began on my bladder and spread from there. I used minocycline. I also put Vaseline and johoba on it.
Kind regards
Andrea Leah

I've had this skin condition for years. They gave me the cortisone creme but never told me to wrap it. I've had the injections and freezing them off which worked. My skin became white circles. Once I had taken my cat to the vet and she said I had ringworm. Its always on my arms and I got it around 50 years old. I've had it for 17 years. Thank you Dr. Dray for explaining it so well.
