I always wondered what the strange hill was when I used to drive past it regularly. I was always an ardent Time Team fan, so to manage to help as a digger was literally a dream come true. Everyone was just so approachable and 100% invested in the dig. It was such a relief to know that Time Team was genuine and not simply staged. Happy days.

What I am learning from TT after now having watched half or more of all the episodes is that you can basically dig just about anywhere in England and find archeology.

This show is the reason why I'm studying archaeology in university, and it never gets old

I always love it when Stewart has a hunch and breaks out a new theory. Great insights into the landscape.

Since stumbling upon and becoming a huge fan of T.T. years ago, I have become awestruck by Stewart, his patience, knowledge and observational abilities are, to me, superb.
As someone who used maps extensively in his pursuits of climbing, walking and cycling, I can really appreciate his efforts.

Time Team is the best! I live in the U.S. so haven’t seen the show in broadcast, but Tim’s Team makes for great binge watching on YouTube!

I love the honest arguments and emotional give and take about deciding where to dig. Just seems more real than any "reality" TV from the U.S.

So unique to see real professionals working as a team....and enjoying themselves!

I think I love John. For so many episodes he's mocked (as his role in the series), and then in something like this you see the benefit of his oversight of the environment, his skill and perseverence, his fighting his science. Fascinating

This is what I loved about Time Team, when one part of the team couldn't find anything i.e. in the trenches, then another would step up and deliver the necessary evidence. Stewart's ability to find so much detail in what looks like just ordinary landscapes is amazing.

This comes from the wonderful time when you always had something interesting to watch on television. Now there is nothing at all for us oldies.

Just hearing that theme tune and "We've got 3 days to find out!" 🥺🥺 So nostalgic

I absolutely LOVE this show! So sorry that Mick passed away and extremely sorry to hear that they are ending the show. One of the best shows on YouTube. High quality for sure. I will miss it.

Every time they say Stewarts been lurking and cut to him, I can't help but think "Oh, so we'll know what actually happened in a minute then".

Stewart needs a whole show. "Walking through history", preferrably in VR.

Every so often I have to stop and appreciate the absolute artisrty of these episodes. The mood-setting music, wistful, amusing, or exciting; the editing, explaining beautifully what's going on and what's being talked about, and bringing a sense of spontenaity to everything. It maintains the genuine-ness of eything. And then, who assembled the cast? Because they did amazingly! People who are both excellent in their field and fun on camera, who are just so GOOD at making everything easy to understand. Half the fun is the chemistry between people. And I don't know how it was done, maybe its something everyone's learnt over the years, but everyone is so natural for being on camera. And Tony is just this really artful blend of standing in for us the viewers who need things explained, acting at a little bit of an antagonist almost? Not genuinely haha but as sometimes a force of doubt or impatience, he adds a kind of conflict that's still always friendly and good-natured and doing that is not easy, that could be annoying and obviously it'll be entirely subjective as to whether it succeeds but for me and I think a lot of people it really does, or he and the show wouldn't be so beloved and have continued so long. This stuff that can be difficult to consciously notice but that effects the entire experience of an episode. I knew I loved Time Team as informative and fun and something from my childhood, but watching it now I'm happy to really appreciate that it is so genuinely well made all-round ❤

Imagine opening wooden panels in your house to reveal medieval beams. Then being able to say what year it was built - because you've still got the receipt.
