I had my C100 stolen a few months ago, I wasn't super upset, I was trying to upgrade regardless. I just got a ZCam E2C as a replacement. Thank you for your reviews and footage of the E2C, honestly if it wasn't for you and the few other reliable YouTubers with information on the camera, I wouldn't be looking at this E2C in my hands right now. Thanks bro, Keep up the good work, you really got a lot of potential on this site my guy!

If you go through an external recorder, you're just getting an 8-bit file in a 10-bit wrapper. Good news is, 8-bit is plenty enough for most uses unless you're planning to work with a professional colorist or a production house.

Good review - I have a C100 M2 that I like, despite it's age. I like that you put the emphasis on the file size - one of the great aspects of this camera. Files grade remarkably well for a small file and mediocre codec. I like being able to edit and render with realistic times compared to 4K. I have my sights on the C70 as the successor to my C100, but there's just so much to like about this camera it's hard to completely retire it.

New specs and technology aside, the best camera in one's arsenal is the one they own and the one that best fits your workflow. C100 is still a beast of a camera. I own one and love every thing about. Was thinking of upgrading to a BMPCC6K but none of my projects ever call for 4K let alone 6K.

I love the XLR inputs and internal ND filters. It's the perfect camera for run and gun or interviews.

Thanks, Carlos. As a Canon 6D stills shooter just getting into video, the appeal of the C100 for me is the fact that it's a complete package and would feel good on the job with a great battery, built-in ND, and dual-pixel autofocus available. If/when I decide to buy a dedicated video camera it will likely be the C100. I have pro audio in the MixPre-6 II that can mount under the C100, and my formula for the kind of documentary video I want to do is "good video and awesome audio." So - looks like a perfect choice every way. Thanks brother.

If I'm shooting with the C100 at about 2 metres to my subject, what sort of prime lens I'd need to get a horizontal coverage of about 1.3 metres at that distance?

I still shoot with my C100 that I purchased when it was first released. I've never had one issue with it. It has paid for itself many times. I recently purchased an EOS R to match my C100 and when shooting in C-log, they are a great match.

Awesome video! Just a heads up bro, the c100 can't do 10 bit externally. It can only capture 8 bit 4:2:2.
