Like a fucking Swiss watch. Jesus. I’m US Navy 22 years. But I gotta hand it to the Germans. They’re really good at what they do. Say what you want about the Nazis, but hitting up Hugo Boss for their uniforms was a smart thing to do, seeing that they wanted to give German servicemen an extra bit of pride. Those were sharp duds. The only people I can think of who have better uniforms today are US Marines (dress or deck blues).

My husband is full german but I'm the one obsessed with German history. I show him this stuff all the time because in his family, being ww2 refugees into canada, they had shame about how they got here and alot of germans dont want to talk about their past at all .. however i see it as a civilization that was way ahead of its time and i love to school him on his ancestors.. i dont know how they cant see how glorious their culture was

It's not really just SS guard, it's the Wachbataillion Berlin, which still exists today. The Berlin guard.
It predates Nazism by hundred of years and goes back to Kingdom of Prussia.
Be careful about interpreting this as nazi thing, because its not. Its german military tradition.
