That Bruce Allen crash will probably be the all-time most "miraculous" wreck I've witnessed for the rest of my life... I've probably watched that at least a few dozen times a year, since it happened!
He is SO lucky. Holy Crow.

The Schumacher crash...He went over the wall and seeing a Hemi engine block flying through the air spinning like a football in a fieldgoal...Gives the idea of the energy and physical forces these cars produce...Incredible

Went to a lot of drag races as a young man and saw too many crashes and engine explosions.
Saw a top fuel dragster blow a clutch without a scatter shield with pieces of aluminum flywheel land at my feet.

The first one was identical to Brittany Force’s crash that left her in a severe amount of pain, like, her thighs were bruised, there weren’t any broken bones or anything, but thank god she came out alive

growing up in Pomona and seeing a lot of crashes in the 70s and 80s, when i was 9 (1978) i found a piston that blow off of a dragster, i used it to this day for a shop ashtray.

I am still surprised that NHRA has not made it that ALL tracks need SAFER (Steel and Foam Energy Reduction) barriers in place of those hard concrete walls.
It would take out some of that ouch factor in these hard hits.
NASCAR uses them, NHRA should too.
