Flexibility is one of the most neglected aspects in Wing Chun training. Some Wing Chun practitioners believe that because there are no high kicks in Wing Chun that flexibility training is of no great value. I disagree with that belief. Stretching helps prevent muscle injury and a more flexible martial artist will have less resistance in their kicks making their kicks faster, more powerful, and less telegraphed.

In this video I demonstrate my standard leg flexibility routine. I hold each stretch for at least one minute and I hold my side kick hold for at least thirty seconds.
