I am using Blender 4.0 and unfortunately what you show on 02:56 does not work: Ray Visibilty "Camera" (or Shadowcatcher for example) is always in sync across all my viewlayers. If I turn things ON for one layer, it is ON in every layer. Pretty frustrating. Is that a bug in 4.0 or am I missing something? Thanks (same in Blender 3.6... so maybe I am doing something wrong but can´t figure it out)

Hy, i just used this method, but the finally render was a bit wrong. I mean because i have many view layer, first if i change something in a layer the same thing doesn t change in the other layer ( for eg. The shifting of a shadow) and second when i go to render from the compositing the entire scene, from what layer i need to render in order to have a whole scene? I hope i was clear😁 many thanks

This is so hard to understand specially when u handle with a huge scene with a lot of volumes/vdb and i literally watched every view layer tutorials on yt and still don’t get it really

Doesn’t makes sense.. you talk about how you have a car holding out the tire marks?? The tire marks are placed UNDER the car in 3D space.. there’s no reason to have a holdout for them… the car does that automatically…. And the way you created each layer doesn’t make sense either.. and you didn’t show what’s in the layers…. Didn’t make much sense…. 👎
