Her name is Owha, she is a known leopard seal and has been living in New Zealand marinas for about 6 years now. She moves up north in the winters, to Tutukaka (where this video was taken), but usually lives right in the middle of our biggest city, Auckland CBD.

Just hope these people know that is a Leopard seal and not a cute, friendly sea lion. Can’t really catch anyone on land but if one of those people get too close the leopard could hurt them .

Guys, pretty sure 95% of people watching this know a leopard seal is dangerous, you can still call it cute. Bears are cute as hell, doesn’t mean any of us would try to hug them.

The leopard seals face always reminds me of the raptors from the first Jurassic park. Basically very scary looking unlike the other seal breeds.
