Did you know that God hates this sin more than any other sin because it robs Him of His glory?!
Pride takes God off the throne in your heart. It is responsible for much confusion, deception, and sorrow. God hates it, and He will judge righteously because of it.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before DESTRUCTION, And a haughty spirit before a FALL.

Pride is the original sin that brought the fall and eternal condemnation of the devil, and the devil wants you to have the same end as he has by using the tool of pride.

James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore the scripture saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.

God's nature is that of humility. Psalm 138:6 For though Jehovah is high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly; But the haughty he knoweth from afar.
