Two of my favorite roles Piper Laurie portrayed... One was Margaret White in the original version of _"Carrie"_ (1976), and the other is this one... RIP Piper Laurie...

I just watched this movie. Piper Laurie was an absolutely gorgeous woman. Her acting here was top level; not easy to pull off next to Paul Newman. She was able to really convey that she was a tough, hardened woman while also being able to simultaneously portray being vulnerable and lonely; two extremes at the same time. Awesome.
