In this video we continue to explore the mysterious tachyon. Specifically, we take a look at what exactly could happen as we approach and then break the speed of light. Of course it is all theoretical, but nonetheless it is still an interesting concept worth exploring.

It’s so weird that from the viewpoint of many of the element atoms that make up my body, whose force interactions take place at the speed of light, no time has passed since their fusion in an ancient star, formation in our solar system, cooling as part of the Earth and then becoming part of my body. It’s all one moment.

i just came up with the idea of why traveling faster than light reverses time...
imagine yourself traveling toward a mirror and magically you go pass through it...
reference you as the thing traveling faster than light and mirror as the light barrier... as you go through and brake the barrier...
your reflection goes backwards too...

Important Note:

At the end of the video the scenario where the tachyon didn't violate causality was referring to one very specific scenario with very specific factors and variables. Also that was reconciling causality with the perception of what the tachyon was doing not the actual tachyon itself. With regards to tachyons and their relation to causality we will be exploring this in the next video.

You should do a video on negative energy. I've been searching about it out of curiosity, but to underwhelming results.

My theory, as someone who knows nothing, is that tachyons are created at the death of the universe when the laws of physics break down and allow it, they travel backwards through time until they converge at a single point, and they're the spark that ignites the big bang. Which would make them here all along. Maybe they're what we call dark energy.

When I pass a car, it doesn't appear to be going backwards.
