This is cool..turn on your own ketosis by skipping breakfast and you turn on the production of ketones as you burn fat (and lose weight). Uncoupling protein then makes your mitochondria burn energy as heat instead of making ATP. That keeps you warm. You can do the same trick with a cold shower...ketones all by themselves do it. So, do it. Skip breakfast. And if you eat so much that you feel hot in the middle of the night, that's the wrong way to turn on uncoupling protein. You are overwhelming your mitochondria and they turn on UCP just to stay alive and dump the heat.

After appr. 18 hours fast, you wil burn protein. That’s how it works. So regular fasting for people of his age, wil shorten his lifespan.

Dr Whitcomb, have you confirmed if you are Fat/Keto Adapted as by popular (possibly incorrect) definition Nutritional Ketosis begins at ketone levels above 0.5 mmol/l? Looking forward to your feedback.

Ive noticed this on eating low carb but quite a bit of meat (although fatty) Dr. Berry cites it as meats raising metabolising effect tho.
