Barbie repair fail | WES ANDERSON STYLE | Molding a new nose on vintage Barbie

Показать описание
With a nod to Wes Anderson's film style, we attempt to restore Barbie's missing nose using acrylic nail powder. End result: We mostly fail. Need better color-matching and way more practice.

Enjoy 'The Peculiar Countenance of Chocolate Bon Bon.' FYI: 'Chocolate Bon Bon' is the name of the hair color type of this 1967 Twist N Turn Barbie.

I never had resculpting really work out for me either. What I do now is use a small nail filing dremel thing and sort of shave away at it and sort of create a new smaller nose if that makes sense. It works really well on the chin bites since you don't need to really recreate much, just shave away until it's smooth. The process sort of freaked me out because I was working on Superstar Barbie and Christie, but I think your idea with the practice doll is perfect.

HAAAA! What an awesome omage to Wes Anderson!! You 2 are so funny and brilliant! I'll have to try that nail powder to fix my dolls. Any tips and tricks?

I'm sorry for the sad result of your efforts. However, I also had a Barbie whose tip of the nose was bitten off!!! Her hair was pulled out in a spot!!! Ouch!!!😢 Well, I went to the dollar tree and found some matching hair in a small fashion extension & rooted the new hair! The I took some clear vinyl glue and applied a tiny bead to her nose, it took beautifully, and naturally assumed the actual tip of her nose!!! Now, she's beautiful, instead of beaten up she's a knock out!!❤🎉🎉🎉
