It's actually really annoying for us foreigners. I've been to India 5 times, including longer stays in the same place for several months and it get's old quickly. Imagine going out to buy groceries and being asked for selfies or just being asked "which country" every 5 meters. If we treated Indians like that abroad, they'd rightfully complain of racism.
