In this interview with the International Institute of Directors & Managers (IIDM) Arash further elaborates the topic by explaining the two paradigms of scientific reasoning: Analysis, and Synthesis.
Finally he explains how leaders can become systems thinkers by asking key questions about the system. These questions are:
- What is the real problem you are trying to solve (not the symptom)?
- What are some alternative solutions to the problem?
- What are unforeseen consequences of these solutions across time and space?
- Is this the easy solution or the right solution? The easy way out usually leads back in.
