Kids suffer from debilitating episodes after recovering from strep throat (Nightline)

I got strep throat when I was 9 or possibly even 11, now I'm starting to be extremely thankful that this did not happen to me, I hope they gets better

Parker’s father brought me to tears...what an awesome dad he has...Obviously all the parents were great but it just touched me to see such a loving father 🙂

Strep throat infection is very serious. I caught it at the age of 23. Within hours, I was in hospital with a roaring fever. The throat pain was unbearable. I was put on an antibiotic drip and given pain relief. I was in a room alone and all the medics wore masks. 2 days later, I was cleared to go home. Spent 3 days in bed and made a full recovery. I learned that strep infection is very serious and must never be Ignored.

If a four-year-old is sent to a psychiatry ward after strep throat, then I would hope that psychiatrist would look at the possibility of PANDAS before giving her a bag full of medication. Mental health is an important issue to treat, but we need to start understanding the mind body connection better.

I get strep throat like once a year when I was a child. I'm so glad this never happened to me before.
