This video only tells me that the people who made it have never seen Song of the South, it does not depict slaves.

When the new ride opens up if I ever go back to Disney World I'm going to sing Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah repeatedly on the line just to piss people off

The marxists won. They will keep dividing and demoralizing our society until everything good is destroyed. Splash Mountain and Song of South were not racist at all. In fact, the marxists have destroyed the legacy of James Baskett and the other actors and actresses in that movie. Not to mention one of the most beloved songs in our nations history Zipa deedoodah! Iger and Ken Potrock are complete failures for allowing this to happen.

Splash mountain isn't racist. Song of the south wasn't even racist. It was Disney's clumsy attempt at making an anti racist movie that wouldn't offend anyone, but the leader of the NAACP Walter F. White (a guy who was barely black at all, he passed as white) had a hate boner for black actors like Hattie McDaniel and James Baskett whom he saw as "race traitors." He and the NAACP smeared song of the south relentlessly, saying that it depicted slaves as happy (it was set after the civil war, so those were newly freed people) so disney never released it on home video. Splash mountain is just based on the animated segments which were ACTUAL AFRICAN AMERICAN FOLK TALES. So actual African American heritage is being erased in favor of a movie that was written by two white guys and one black guy.

So a precious piece of Black Americana and people's childhoods is being destroyed, all because some slacktivists want to feel like they are making the world a better place.

End of an era— unfortunately imagineering will never build something as great as this attraction, a true classic and a quintessential Disney ride!

Disneyland closed the standby line for Splash Mountain on its last day of operation an hour before the park closed. Disney parks no longer compensate for lost park time when their rides break down. They do not enforce their own rules. I will never set foot in another Disney park.

Shilling for Disney and their "progression". Wrong.

I went on it for the last time last October, sad to see it go. Don’t know what I’ll compare to Tiana’s bayou adventure

I was able to ride it this year in March so I'm excited to see a re theme as well. If we don't draw a line a mean why not get rid of Princess Tiger Lily in Peter Pan. Or The Shaman on Rivers of America, we can't judge another time through a lens of today's standards.
