In this tutorial, I walk you through how to export character animation created in Daz Studio to Blender. I used Facemotion for the facial animation on a Daz3d character called Melvin. This opens the door to sending your Daz characters with animation to Blender for rendering with Eevee or Cycles.

What did you do at 6:31 to correct how the character is posed? If I reset transforms they are reverted when the animation starts playing

Funny how whenever I have a question in my head and don't pursue the answer, Solomon releases a video with the answer. Haha!
Great video once again!

Hi Solomon,
I got the script from Kenneth but its not working with G8Female.
Only my Males can be exported as FBX 2014. The Females dont have head rotation and the mouth morphs are not moving in Cinema4D and Blender
Do you have any tip for me? would appreciate that a lot since our deadline is coming closer and closer

What if our character has clothes or props? I tried and they don't keep the animation.

Yes but it looks so bad in blender and missing tons of details, I'm amazed that you didn't mention that! that's the problem with fbx export, we need a way to fix that or at least export alembics

The only problem I have with this method is that all of the clothing hair and accessories are detached from the body. is there any way to fix that?

Is it possible to attach skeletal animation to custom models of, say, an octopus, shark, bird, dragon, hedgehog, or even a caterpillar robot with twelve tentacles and at least 2 laser cannons?
I am interested in creating my own skeleton for my own model, with custom settings as in standard daz3D or extended models, but not for humans, i.e. is it possible to create custom sliders, say to the length (thickness, number of nodes, etc.) of the tentacles of a robot or an octopus, or some kind of monster?
Let's say the model will be created by hexagon daz3d (or in any other 3D editor).
