hi Solomon, I hope well, I have more questions, I manage to connect the bridge to a blender, and also managed to connect the Daz library, I even managed to find the model I brought in Daz, but now the problem is connecting the materials to the model I checked a video that said I have use shading? and others say it's automatic, is there a video or some that guides to adding the textures? all the videos I have seen have already started with the 3d model already with textures, video is very limited for importing environments step by step; do you have any ideas?

The free Diffeomorphic addon is still a far better option for importing Daz figures and props into Blender.

Also when I install the plugin with daz studio I don't have the option to import new genesis figure and imprt new env/prop but import daz fil and global setting, that still changes so the solution is still different and you have to wait for tutorials more recent?

I am using Blender Octane, I am wondering how I can export all the maps of textures into a folder, and then use this method to bring in the model from DAZ to blender, but then have access to the maps in a separate folder. I don't know where to find them? The model just transfers over with the textures but I need to know where the source folder is.

ALSO, I am trying to export the model as an OBJ and then bring the obj into blender, but Blender fails to open the OBJ. I Need to figure this out. Another tutorial i am watching shows that they export the model in OBJ, then import it, and then use the folders with the maps in it to convert to Normals and displacements to be able to use with Octane and convert the materials to octane.

I thought there might have been a recent update to the DAZ to Blender Bridge but I haven't downloaded and checked it out.

Thanks so much Solomon for making a video to discuss what's new and how to get everything setup and working. I really appreciate it!

I hope you and your loved ones have had a great week and you're looking forward to a fantastic weekend! 😃

great tutorial, thank you for addressing this topic so thoroughly...I would only suggest to increase the volume of your recorded voice so that it can be easier to follow your instructions when watching the video on a cellphone (e.g.).. again, thank you

Nice. Oh btw, when you import a Daz character that has hair and you try to import it into Blender, the hair for some reason fails to import. How or why is that? Also, is there a way to pose the character the same way as in Daz or do I have to have to import a series of images and create a moving picture from the images?

hello there,
good tutorial however daz is not exporting the pose with the model in Blender so I only have my DAZ 3D Model in T Pose :(
If I save my pose preset in DAZ and then import it in the addon it doesn't work at all.
Let me know if you know what happened during the process if u have any ideas..
I heard some good things about the Diffeomorphic addon so I will try this one too!
