This is good stuff. People have to grieve the part of their body ability they have lost, just like they'd grieve the death of a child. Part of healing is stopping focusing on what you can no longer do, and shifting focus to what you still can do.

What a compassionate human-being. If you're a grandparent, , there's a great need for unconditional love.

Actually, being in pain 24/7 pretty much sucks too, as does the extreme poverty of trying to survive on a government pension. Also, we live in a society that doesn't have much use for anyone who can't hold down a job. I know that I'm still the same person on the inside and that my life still has value, even though it sometimes feels like the whole world is treating me like I don't even deserve to have a roof over my head.

Yep. I had to learn to focus or explore what I can do and find new hobby that fits. Mine was to join a choir.

Could you please make a video about how to come up with a strategy to realign mind, body and self? I’m not chronically ill, but the way you described the feeling one has when these three things are not aligned is exactly how I feel.

I understand that, and you explain it, so simply. So why can’t my family understand it?
