Blastoff! SpaceX Starship launches to space on 4th test flight, booster splashes down!

SpaceX launched Starship on its Integrated Flight Test 4 from their Starbase facility in South Texas on June 6, 2024.

What an incredible success. Splashdown from the booster and an equally successful landing of Starship itself. And that after one of the wings had melted. All the scales of the shell are in place.. you can see how the team making the ship has changed now. the launch pad did not fly away with the and the rocket is wonderful

Makes you wonder how good NASA and the engineers in aerospace were in the 60s-80s to go straight for Saturn V and the Space Shuttle get it almost right off the bat. America lost a lot of the best talent and knowledge when Nixon suddenly changed to the Space Shuttle and then it got worse when Congress retired the Shuttle with no new plan in sight. Shows you how far the world needs to climb to get back to that level of greatness. Starship has done something incredible!
