Yesterday was the first time I flew in a 172SP. It's actually very cool that I can review this so I don't forget it. Thanks!

I like the nice rectangular 8-pack instrument cluster. The old scattered configuration drove me crazy.

Not trying to be critical but shouting " clear " again would have been a good idea right before the actual start up . There was a good 15 seconds or so pause since you shouted " clear prop " the first time . People or animals can walk too close to the nose in that time .
It's known to happen .

We use to fly over to Ryan from Banning, and fly the circuit, which is over Big Bear to Apple Valley, come back thru Palm Springs, and back home to Banning.

Key in the ignition, "CLEAR PROP", and start immediately.

Can you please clarify the 1- take off speed (for example 65 knts), 2- climbing speed (for example 70 knts), 3-cruise speed (95knts) 4- RPM during cruise (2300 RPM) 5- RPM while attempting to descend (????) 6- RPM for flaps 1 and speed 7_RPM for flaps 2 and speed 8-RPM for flaps 3 and the speed. 9- Landing speed> Thank you so much. I am PPL for Cessna 152 . wanna know about this plane.

Way to NOT focus on the starting process when actually starting the plane (instead, aiming camera at plane in front of you).

Good video but shouldn't you of said clear prop when the engine was off?

I have more than 4000+ hours in Cessna 172, K and N models, mostly instructional, now retired ... Besides, I have another 6000 hours in Cessna 152, a couples of hundred hours in Cessna 150

Do you have to prime the engine when warm start

Thank you great video. The only thing that I'm confused about: in the manual it says the mixture should be advanced smoothly after you start the ignition. Is it OK to set it full rich prior to starting?

John Wayne FTW. Orange County is where its at. What flight school / flight instructor do you recommend for a newbie who lives close to John Wayne?

Hey you're the guy from the UCI flying club! I went there for a couple years...

I'm transitioning to a 172 from a 152 soon. So you start it with mixture at idle cut-off, and richen it once its started? Not quite how I learned it for a 152.

Camera man didn’t show you introduce mixture at/fter crank but good video.

Need to hurry when you prime that engine because you may just get an induction fire
