4:00 Which is why I got myself a 1/4 inch drive torque wrench when I knew I was gonna stick with small engine work for a while. Goes all the way down to 1Nm and has a window to read graduations so my old eyes can actually see the numbers without squinting or changing the angle of light hitting it. Yay!!!

I know it's too late now but anyone watching thinking of doing the same, the notch on the piston according to Honda goes to the top not the bottom.

It looks like someone cleaned the piston spotlessly but they threw the wrong sized piston rings onto the piston.

I have just rebuilt a Honda GSV190 engine for my fathers lawnmower because the engine would smoke like crazy particularly on a cold winters morning, the bottom compression ring gap was out of specs at 0.5mm or 0.020" when the upper limit is 0.45mm or 0.016".

I rebuilt my 3 horsepower Briggs and Stratton powered Supa swift lawnmower in Xmas Eve of 2019 & the top compression ring had a 1.15mm or 0.045" piston ring gap.

Their Upper limit is larger than Hondas at 0.8mm or 0.032"

Working on my stihl sh55. Oil was seeping past the seals. Cleaned everything and replaced. Now seeping again. Starts & runs great. Would you mic the shaft? What would you do to fix?
