I have reported well over 30 of these sites, over the past 2 years, and YT does the slow walk to shut them down. I've got receipts. Tired of this scam and those that perpetrate this crap.

There's more. I watched that YouTube stream live for over 30 minutes up to the supposed launch at 8:30 am EST. It looked exactly like SpaceX coverage leading up to a launch, including familiar voices going over what was going to happen, professionally done 3D animations showing what to expect, and even an on-camera appearance by Jim (forgot his last name), the long-time SpaceX engineer/commenter. I thought it was the real deal, and they counted down to the supposed launch.

A second after ignition they cut to the scene with Elon and the QR code and I couldn't believe how realistic the whole thing had been. In retrospect, the only thing that was missing was the SpaceX title card they use before going live. Instead there were 3D animations of the first and second stage, with details in the text.

There were many streams with the "Elon" / "IFT3 launch" titles. At least two were identical streams from the "SpaceX" account you mentioned, totaling over 100K viewers.

Astonishing people miss that.

Also, Elon isn’t going to be standing with a crowd of people a few hundred feet from the rocket right before launch.

Why the fuck can't YouTube even try. This happened again last night. 225k viewers at one time. It even fooled me because it was NUMBER 1 on the results for "SpaceX launch 4".

They got me on IFT-2. When it was supposed to lift off, turned out it was a crypto scam. Missed like one and a half minutes since liftoff before I found a valid stream. At that time I was not aware SpaceX not longer streams on Youtube, and I was in hurry to find a stream since I was busy at that time and started looking for stream about 10 minutes before liftoff time I set an alarm for.

I actually watched some of this before the launch. I thought it was weird that Elon wanted us to scan the barcode on the screen, so I didn't do it. Then I was wondering why it wasn't showing us the actual launch, so I switched to another channel.
