I'm thinking the only way it works is if you activate developer mode & USB debugging when your in there then connect phone to TV with the charging cord should work ok after at least for the file transfer

Yes this works well but i am using mi tv and in this media application is provided by xiaomi and then we can connect it but i can't tell about other tv's
