ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

I am 74 years old and I have spent countless hours watching videos that I have purchased and videos that have been free on line. I have spent considerable amounts of money on private lessons and group lessons. You have done what very few people have been able to a game that is difficult to master and complicated to understand and execute at times. You have done a fantastic job in explaining, teaching and demonstrating all aspects of the game. Thank you for making your knowledge and skills available to all of us. Well done Danny!

Watched this video last night with the missus over dinner. Today at City Golf Club in Toowoomba I sunk a pitch to the green that had to be 50m or maybe 60m, warmed into the shot by getting my pendulum going, positioned my feet and swish, up, down on the green, couple small bounces and it rolled across the green and into the hole! Magic! Also used the chipping techniques explained here to good effect, Thanks Danny!

This is one of the best instruction videos I've seen.  I've struggled with chipping yips for 45 years, and have studied everything!  One handed pitching always worked, but the problem was what happens when you add the left hand?  Exactly the case of Danny's pupil.  And like him, I compensated by dipping the right knee.  Ugly. He explains why that happens.  But the real challenge is correcting that decades-old "Band-Aid."  You can hit thousands of chips one-handed, but immediately relapse when you add the left hand.  Thanks, Danny!

OMG!!! This is the single greatest golf instructional observation ever!!! if you can chip you can pitch. If you can pitch you can hit full shots all the way up to the driver. This identifies the single most important but elusive concept for golfers -- the release!!! Could never quite get a handle on what a release meant!!!
This identifies the feeling -- the clubhead moving while the handle remains relatively still. This is totally generalizable!!! I wonder if you realize how generalizable this is ?!!!! Pure genius !!!!

One of the reasons I enjoy your videos, you will actually show us how were doing it wrong before you show how we can correct ourselves. This is a valuable tip for me. I can get to the green but I can't get on it. I usually skull it into the other sand trap.

Danny, I have had the chipping and putting "yips" for over two years and was close to giving up the game. A friend sent me one of your videos a few weeks ago and since then I have subscribed and enjoy all of the lessons. Your ability to explain and demonstrate in the simplest of ways has already helped me considerably. I'm not out of the woods yet but you have given me hope and I am starting to enjoy the game again. Many thanks.

Thank you for this! The last 6 months has seen my short game fall to pieces, fatting everything. I watched this before heading out to the course this morning and hit my wedges better than ever before and hit my lowest score. Thank you again.

I watched this video and then proceeded to the practice range to test it out. The one-handed drill was amazing! I was placing nearly every ball within a few feet of my target. I needed to remind myself to not over grip with my left hand and let the right arm provide the sweeping motion. I can’t wait to try this out on the course. Thanks for the great instruction!

Hi Danny. Old video so not sure if you'll see this comment but I wanted to thank you for solving my long term chipping problems with this video. I'm a decent golfer (10HCP) but am losing probably 4-5 shots a round with my short game it was so bad, I feel confident to get my handicap down now.

I love your other videos on chipping technique but whilst my fundamentals were correct and I could produce decent strikes reasonably consistently on the practice green, I just couldn't get a consistent strike out on the course at all. This drill made me realise that I was so anxious about the strike it was causing me to stiffen up and get so rigid with the hands and arms, and being able to get a crisp strike every time one handed reminded me how easy it is if you relax.

This drill gave me the feeling of how loose and free the club head needs to feel to get a nice crisp strike. Out in the course now I do my practice swings one handed, grip loosely with the left hand and then in my head feel as if my actual shot was only with the right hand. The strike comes naturally and I don't even give it a thought anymore.

Thanks so much

Absolutely game changing last week after seeing this. I set my weight slightly on the left side and took the left hand out of the swing and the release was great. Was I 3’ from the hole, no but no more sculling across the green and the slight shave under the ball is gone.

Tried this out tonight. Was a game changer. This is the best video I've seen on chipping! How can people dislike this??

Danny, I’m coming off of a long hiatus and started practicing using your techniques and have to tell you that you are definitely on the mark. I have practiced using techniques that I have never seen or heard from other golf coaches I’m putting them to good use. Thanks for your help!

Danny, this reminded me of one of your driver backswing videos that was a huge help for me. The way you demonstrate how we end up with our hands and/or club in the wrong place when we add the lead hand is so helpful. For many of us that is the "ah ha" moment that unlocks the ability to implement the correct technique and find our way back to it when we falter on the course. Can't thank you enough for that!

Great video. This drill is also promoted by James Sieckmann in his book, "The Short Game Solution". I had the chipping yips for a long time and it was ruining my enjoyment of the game. I purchased James' book and followed his recommendations to the letter, and now I have a very good short game. It has taken time and dedication but I have proven to myself that with the right technique and dedication it is possible to over-come the chipping yips.

As a newbie I decided to retire from cricket and take up golf. I looked at many vids on the tube and found that for me Danny's tutorials are simple and effective. This vid for example, I went into the garden, put his advice into practice and would you believe it! It works. Danny's tutorials have taught me to swing with irons and driver, but my approach game is dreadful as I can't chip for toffee. Had a round today and improvement was instant. Brilliant thanks Danny.

Wow Danny! 3 1/2 years since you made this video. I think it is exactly what I need. In general, it seems to me that you are describing a mini swing with loose wrists and with gravity as the main power source. I have for years moved my hands from hip to hip with absolutely firm wrists -- Chunks and Thins forever. I have not tried it outside but am sure this will help. Thank you so very much, Roman Zylla
