When faced with the 80yd shot a lot of times I'll decide to play it safe and layup to something like 35yds. Sometimes I'll decide to skull it 160yds over the green. Rarely do I decide to hit on the green.

I am 73 and have been teaching golf in Northern California for more than 45 years. I like your style of teaching and demonstrating the 80 yard shot. You have a direct and no nonsense approach which I really enjoy. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I watched this vid, Top 5 Tips for the 80 Yard Golf Shot, about 6 months ago. I've been practicing it ever since, and it literally "turned my game around". I've found I have this shot about 6 or 7 times a round. I'm now confident with it. I am saving 4 or 5 shots a round!! Thanks MSG!!

the weight forward is the best tip i have seen for wedge shots on the internet. This video and another one said it. It pretty much fixed my wedge shots

I have used this with longer shots as well. One of my fave golf videos. When your aim is off sync this is a good way to go.

From the short grass, each tip is such a good reminder, especially #3 (keeping it shallow). For us that have played in soft & wet conditions, and have come down a bit too steep [with a mid/low bounce grind], we know that super-fun outcome.

Matt thank you for reviving my game with the pushing hands out on backswing no more fat iron shots I'm in love with golf again!

I needed this, the 80-100 shot has been killing me lately. Trying to take full swings and getting me into a lot of trouble ! I will work on this one! Thanks 🙏🏼

FANTASTIC lesson! You make learning fun. Your style makes me as a learner feel less anxiety regarding these kind of shots. Shots that trouble most average golfers like me. Bravo to your style of coaching! Bravo to your tips and knowledge! "THANK YOU!!!"
