I haven't deliberately set a benchmark, but every time I go back to my Dragonball SD Manga I'm impressed at the new stuff that makes sense to me :)

One of my extreme long-term benchmarks would be to be able to watch 13 Assassins without subtitles… that’s going to be a while though. I do occasionally watch Teasing Master Takagi san and Made in Abyss (2 easier anime that I actually enjoy watching) to see if I am improving. I usually see improvement each time on those.

I love the idea of setting something as a benchmark that you can keep revisiting as you go along. I'm definitely going to start doing that, thanks mate ^.^

I love this approach. Much simpler for us to just be able to get the words out. Then make it pretty and natural sounding. Although hard for those of us who mimic the sounds we hear. Hahaha

I don't really have "benchmark" or at least i don't consider it one but i started the whole thing because i want to watch anime without subtitle and it feels good when i know a word or heard it. Same with kanji (i know around 250 rn)
