I’ve worked in restaurants for 36 years as a server(I’m currently unemployed) and this video brought me to tears. So much history, people’s livelihoods and hard work gone. 😢

I'm using this Chinese Restaurant as inspiration for my Civil War script. There were Chinese men that served in the Union Army and went West after the Civil War.

A “Go Fund Me” should be set up. That’s amazing that this place is so old.

Survived the Great Flu of 1918, sincerely believe they will pull through this. Keep going, stay strong!

The reason why this restaurant is still around because Danny Wong had built relationships with his customers for decades until he died and people still wanted to come to his restaurant so his son Jerry Tam still continues his ancestors’ legacy.

This makes want to hop on the next flight to BTM (Bert Mooney Airport) and dine to satisfy my craving for Chinese Cuisine and support this institution of America.
