Born in America and judging American Chinese good thinking he's so "authentic" while elders actually try and taste the food. That guy is so unlikable

It's because younger people are less secure with their culture so they want to assert that they are actively a part of their culture and know things about it, while the older people are very secure with the fact that they're Chinese, like they don't need to let anyone know, they just are. Which makes them more open to trying new things because they see it as a compliment to their culture that we tried to make their food instead of an insult.

The younger teens are embarrassing themselves and the elders are being more honest

Everybody talking about how bad the teenager is... why isnt anybody talking about how the elderly man would be the best dinner guest ever?

The dude in the middle probably took an ancestry test and found out he was 20% Chinese

Annoying dude: This is American chow mein
Old Chinese woman: this is Chinese chow mein

I love the elderly man in the video. Speaks for most of us. He’s focused on how the food actually tastes rather than just saying that it’s not real Chinese food two hundred times

Didn't like the smug, know-it-all young kids dissing on the food like they are some sort of Chinese Cuisine experts, when the elders who are clearly more experienced enjoyed it and complimented it.

The actual Chinese people didn’t feel the need to show how “Chinese” they were, while the American of Chinese descent tried WAY too hard to show how “Chinese” he was.

The three young Chinese people are just being pretentious, I bet if they were served that same thing and told it was authentic Chinese food they wouldn't have been surprised at all and would have loved it.

the guy in the gray seems so arrogant. really was getting on my nerves.

“Just American style Chinese food, you can’t expect it to be the same as our traditional Chinese food” I like her outlook on it, the older folks seems to be pretty accepting of the food regardless of if it’s authentic

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the editing? Like the clips of the teenagers being picky are immediately followed by the actual Chinese elders contradicting them and it’s priceless

As a 100% Chinese person, born & raised, I love Panda Express. I go there all the time. I also have many Chinese friends like it as well. Their KungPao chicken is my all time fav. I make it the same way at home as well. Orange chicken though, it's basically a crispier, juicier version of chicken nuggets. LOL. But it tastes great. I like it too.

I felt that the younger people, because they probably weren't born in China, were more defensive and felt that they had to prove themselves. The grandpa is so cute.

"he puts down panda express but he eats mcdonalds all the time"

The older people were so sweet. They were still respectful even when they didn't like it. The younger people act like they eat 5 star Chinese food all the time and were handed dog food to try. They could learn something from their elders!
