Research shows that during the initial 12 weeks of season, many the adaptations gained during the off-season are lost (Rønnestad, 2012)

The unfortunate reality is that most players will never tap into their genetic maximal speed due to the lack of exposure of Top Speed training .

Now we know that performing 30m sprints works mainly on acceleration and towards the end is where the Top Speed gains come from. Soo… 👇

This is one of the method I use along with flying sprints (preferred). That would be the next video I will be making.

unrelated, but it is okay to pick up from where you left off in your inseason program if you’ve had to set the program aside for about 2-3 weeks due to many games/sessions. We had a lot of games cancelled awhile ago so they’ve been bunched up recently so I haven’t been doing gym/speed the past 2-3 weeks because I’ve had to recover from frequent games. Thanks.

Hi Armas, in some earlier videos, you said speed training should be done after team training, but here you said before. Did you find any recent studies on that or why did you change or mind? Or does it not matter as much if I do my sprint training before or after team training?
I am not acussing you whatsoever, I am just asking so I know what's best for my training?
