In this video ' How to STOP your dog barking/ lunging at visitors & dogs; aggression' I am working with a German Shepherd dog called Jazz. Jazz constantly protects the house and garden by barking and lunging at visitors. Next to that, she shows aggressive behaviour towards other dogs by lunging and barking at them. She could bite them if given the chance so her owner calls me in to help.

Through the techniques I show you how I build Jazz' confidence in her environment and in me as a leader. Resulting in calm, more relaxed dog that doesn't feel the need to bark, lunge or attack anymore.Training an aggressive dog takes time, patience and know how.

If you show your dog that you will protect them against any dangers they will look to you for guidance and follow your lead. However please note that you need the ability to adapt your approach with each dog.

Disclaimer: if you have any aggression issues with your dog and need aggressive dg help, be sure to complete my online course on nervousness and aggression before implementing any advice given on my YouTube videos as a complete oversight of the method with careful management is needed.

If you need help with reactive dog training UK to stop dog aggression towards other dogs then I can help. I offer dog training in london and all around the world on how to stop dog barking and aggressive dog lunging so you can have a calm relaxed dog that listens to your guidance and follows your lead. I know learning how to stop dog aggression towards other dogs can be confusing but rest assured it can be done.

*** PS: I NEED YOUR HELP ***

My goal is to better the lives of #onemilliondogs in my lifetime. It is clearly impossible for me to do this on a one to one basis. I have seen that with around every thousand views on my videos, I get a comment or email thanking me and letting me know the video has helped. So working on that basis, I have to make videos on how to address every problem behaviour and accumulate ONE billion views in order to help 1,000,000 dogs.

You can help me reach #onemilliondogs by (1) subscribing to my channel and (2) give this video a thumbs up - so YouTube suggests this video to more dog owners and we can help 1,000,000 dogs all over the world.

Thank you so much! *** THANK YOU ***

“Dogs want to feel safe or in control. But they only give up control once they feel safe.” Humans are the same way.

This video made me truly emotional. They just want to protect us and themselves. We have to trust them as well as allow them to trust us. It’s all about understanding.

The fact that Jazz immediately felt safe & bonded with this man shows how talented and educated on dog behavior he is. Amazing!

I had the same problem with my 2yr old shepherd, barking started at 6.00am every morning. The first day started doing your techniques and noticed an immediate change. The second day, there was a few little barks in the morning. Third day, no barking. Just shows how smart these dogs are. Thank you for saving my sanity and my my boy.

Omg, you have literally CHANGED my life!! It hasn’t even been 2 days, and my dogs are showing SIGNIFICANT difference! All these years I’ve relied on putting negative aspects on it, but in all actuality my dogs were only trying to protect me when I should be protecting them!! I really do feel they trust me, and it warms my heart so much to see the impact 🥺 I’m recording my journey to so once it’s all done, I’m going to In hopes of inspiring others as well and letting everyone know THIS is the true and HUMANE method of teaching a dog good behavior!!❤️

I watched this video in desperation after my BC/heeler mix terrorized my father-in-law when I opened the front door the other day. I started the exercises immediately, practicing heel on our walks and thanking/removing her when she barks at the window. In a matter of days, she's started to calm down and realize that I have the situation in hand. This morning a tree service crew was working in our front yard, and when they rang the doorbell, she went wild at first, but calmed down when I told her everything was okay. She didn't rush the door, trying to "get" the man. While I'm not ready to invite strangers inside just yet, this is remarkable progress. Later, when he knocked, she barked once, then stopped when I reassured her, again, that everything was okay. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but I'm feeling hopeful that we can help calm her anxiousness and reactionary fear. Thank you, Nigel.

This method is INCREDIBLE! Walking our 5-month old Belgian malinois has always been a major stressor in our day, but literally 2 days after watching this and she is improving so fast! She doesn't bark at everyone we pass and she calmly watches people go by out our front window.. great tips!!

I love how you show it takes practice/consistency by replaying it over and over. He’s a good boy 💗

This made me cry. I can't believe how you trained this dog who I thought had no hope.
When she looked back to see your response to the other dog on the dog path- that was simply beautiful. I have never seen training like this before- she trusted you.
Now I know for sure it is always the human & never the dog that has the problem. I am sub'in.

So lovely to see the way Jazz looks to you for trust, and at the end when she comes to show you what a great time she is having with the other dogs. Great video, Nigel thank you.

I did this with my GSD who took up guarding when we moved house. And it worked like magic. We have had to do some repetition the past few weeks due to her young age and it works so well. She went from stressing and barking at every sound to sleep soundly. Now she will give a warning bark look at our reaction and relax.
The book is great!

I started using Nigel's technique early evening on May 7th, and Lucy was at the bay window barking like crazy! As I approached her, I told her thank you, peered outside and looked around, I then put her in the bathroom quietly. I've also done this at the kitchen door, then I walk her to the bathroom and I set the timer for 3 minutes, and so far so good. I can tell she is already starting to calm down and for the first time in over a year I've had my blinds (new) fully open! Sure, Lucy is still going to run to the window, but I know she is already calmer by her actions. Today, I will be working with her in our yard! Lucy is a very healthy and spoiled 5 year old, but the thing is I never thought that they needed to feel protected by us too! I always thought it was the other way around, and it is also, but it has to go both ways in our relationship! Everyone should watch this video, it is the best I've ever seen so far! I also have had 3-4 trainer's during her 5 years, and nothing worked, and I didn't like their techniques like using a choke collar or while walking using her leash as a whip on her backside. No one needs to ever hurt their dog for any reason at all to get them to listen.

5:57 Lol, look at those ears. It's like she's thinking, "Noooo, not the bathroom again! I've reflected! I promise....Just a few more barks, okay??" :P
