I'm from the USA and have lived in Ilheus Brasil for almost 15 years. Great people and beautiful country. Thanks Brasil for letting me live here.

You just forget to say that if you need to go to a hospital to threat a Cancer or any other disease you don’t have to sell your house or your kidneys like in the USA.

I have visited Brazil 15-20 times, so far (1995-2023). I've spent most of my time in Belo Horizonte, never having once felt unsafe. I have been to Rio many times, Salvador, Fortaleza, Recife... I never felt unsafe in any of those places either. Personal security is mostly a matter of awareness, and one can reduce risk by avoiding certain neighborhoods at certain times. This is true for all large cities across the globe, probably. But avoiding entire cities or countries the way you suggest to avoid Brazil is nothing less than BS. Don't get me wrong, crime happens; pretty much like it does everywhere else?
The climate in Brazil varies greatly (as it is larger than the continental USA) - I'm sorry you are so frail. Yes, it is wise to pay attention to trending weather, but come on.
Your examples (and pronunciation, sorry) suggest you have either never been to Brazil, or have very limited exposure in such a vast country. The first few minutes of this video are nothing less than a hit piece.

I'm just really curious about where you got that "95% of people" information from.

I don't regret moving to Brazil. It's been 4 years I'm living in São Paulo and this city changed my life.
Everything's so fast, culture is everywhere, cuisine and party scene is huge, people dress nice, public transport is amazing and the city is safer then most of cities in France. Je t'aime Brésil

I lived in Fortaleza - Brazil for 28 years and I’ve never been robbed, I never seen a gun, the numbers of homicides are scary but most of them take place in the favelas so if you are middle class or rich in Brazil, you have a good life !! Currently I live in London, but my dream is one day to come back to my Brazil 🇧🇷 I’ve been to more than 20 countries and I can testify that the vibe in Brazil is unique, the food and the people are amazing and the beach ❤

This thumbnail is extremely misleading, those aren't even Brazilian gangsters ? Brazilian gangsters don't tattoo themeselves in Spanish? You used MEXICAN CARTEL GANGSTERS for a video about Brazil, wow what a very loserish thing to do

This video sounds like a book report done by someone in 5th grade. Compile a bunch a stereotypes and put them into a video. I highly doubt this person, who can't even say the name of cities correctly, has ever spent any time there.

Brazil don't have subpar health care at all if you can pay your health insurance to use private hospitals, which is CHEAP compared to USA. The main problem of Brazil is that there are violence indeed, but mainly in poor neighbourhoods and Favelas, and Favelas are not 1% of the country, the majority of brazilians never went to a Favela. But yes, you can get your goods and phone stolen if you walk alone in not touristc places especially at night. So if someone is moving to Brazil, you should live inside a medium class or high class neighbourhood and travel to touristic places only, which it is a lot of places.

Really, 95% regret moving here? Where are these numbers coming from? I have lived here for the best part of my 60 years and NEVER ever I was victim of any violent crime. I feel as safe here as anywhere in Europe and the US where I also lived. Of course, there are many problems, but since the people are so nice, I want to be here for the rest of my days enjoying another spats friends who think the same.

Well, what I, as a Brazilian, can tell you about Brazilian politics is: In Brazil, corruption reigns in politics, but in 2018 we had a president elected who truly took Brazil out of the hole it was in due to almost 20 years of being governed by the LEFT! With Bolsonaro, crime rates fell a lot, there were many major improvements in infrastructure, many new laws to protect women, everyone had many rights and received a lot of money every month, poverty fell like never before, there were major improvements in education and health and so many achievements that the Brazilian people have never experienced in their lives. With the dirty government of the thief Lula, everything was destroyed and Brazil is becoming a communist country, because Lula is a dictator.
