I have a family member who worked at Thomas Keller’s famous French Laundry restaurant for years. He was fortunate enough to once serve Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt, and Cuba Gooding Jr. the night after the Oscars ceremony. He told me Jack was in the kitchen (guests are invited to explore the grounds of the restaurant since it’s quite an experience to dine there) and while he’s chatting with the chefs, one of them asks him, “Hey Jack, what do you gotta do to make it in Hollywood?”

And Jack says, “If you don’t have tits, you don’t have a shot.”

Daaaamnnn I need more Jack Nicholson stories

JN is a legend. Also happens to be my favorite actor of all time. I was in NYC at a business meeting and stayed at the Sherri Netherlands hotel. I went down to the bar around 1;00 am to get a drink. In walks Jack and sits next to me. I’m not star struck much as I grew up in the city and worked in Manhattan for 20 years and seen many stars on the streets. Anyway, I had to say hello and told him One Flew Over the Cuckoos nest was my favorite film of all time…we got to talking and wound up having four drinks with him. He had about six. Very down to earth guy and a party animal. As I said…..Legend. PS I left before him and he was still sitting there at the bar.

So great to see Kevin not only making the rounds again but being loose and funny and talking about something other than the ridiculous scandal. He is a good guy who got a bum rap. Hope someone has the balls to cast him in a major film role.

I go to a barber who likes to talk a lot, mostly drugs stuff. But her brother apparently worked at the hotel where they filmed the shining and would sell Jack a ridiculous amount of blow.
