Wybie was added because in the book Coraline talks to herself a lot, so his addition gives her a bit more dialogue because her monologue wouldn’t work very well in a movie

So I read the Coraline book but it is like...an actual book, not a graphic novel. Is it the same thing just in different mediums or are they just different all together?

Okay the graphic is good for those that likes the pics but the original books has the best pictures in it there's not a lot but the very few are just so good and creepy I love it

Wibie saves coriline because this is a film not a book. If she took weeks devising a plan then it would slow down the ending and make it go on to long.
