3,000-passenger cruise ship runs aground off Dominican Republic

A Norwegian Cruise Line vessel carrying about 3,000 passengers and 1,600 staff ran aground on Monday, having left the Dominican Republic’s Puerto Plata after struggling with “strong 30-knot winds”.

The 165,000-ton vessel was freed following a tug boat rescue operation just after midnight local time. There's a trend brewing.
