Commonwealth associate member ‘idea’ back on the agenda for Trump

Sky News host Caroline Di Russo discusses how a bid for a potential Commonwealth is “on the agenda again”.

“It is interesting the mutual appreciation and budding bromance between King Charles and Donald Trump,” Ms Di Russo said.

CANZUK is definitely a much more plausible and doable solution to an economic union, simply because of the commonality of the commonwealth system of parliamentary governance, judiciary and legal system, military culture, free trade, language, etc.
The US is a very different system entirely.

No. The tariffs will have to be negotiated. Only Congress can set tariffs and Congress only relegated temporary power to the President to set tariffs. So no to the idea of associate member or actual member of the Commonwealth. Unequivocally No.
