In blood-soaked Tudor England, Katherine Parr, the sixth and last wife of King Henry VIII, is named Regent while tyrant Henry is fighting overseas. To say that this is just another feminist fantasy retelling of a story is about as ignorant as believing that the first thing you were told about any of his 6 wives is fact! The fact of the matter is it is simply a retelling of a real human being who was more then just poor King Henry's nursemaid. She was a fervant believer in the reform, a patron of arts, and a published author in her own right, and like his first Kathrine someone he trusted with the regency of his realm for a time as well as the care of his precious male heir. Dont you think that would make someone feel empowered? And shouldnt everyone, women included since as you can see by historical fact that they had no agency of their own feel empowered by that? You "men" are made to feel empowered all of the time and most of the time its by the women around you. So get a clue and do yourself and the women around you a favor and give respect where it is due. There are always three sides to every story your side theirside and the truth. Propaganda as does today ran the show then too and we werent there to see how she lived her day to day, but im willing to bet it was alot more powerfully done then the "men" that seem to talk shit. Right @Jaanikins?
