Pay scale does not defined by maharana/navratna status. It depends on whether the company is schedule A/B/C. Schedule A company can be maharatna or navratra. For example, NTPC is a maharatna & PGCIL is a navratna company but both are schedule A PSU and both have same pay scale, perks etc.

I am working in Indian oil. First thing I don't like that IOCL is not included in maharatna, it is biggest PSU. I am working as IOCL officer around 2 years. Some thing I want to make it clear are as follows:-
1. IOCL gives in hand 75-90K at least in starting based on location and either shift duty or not. But after 6-7 years you get 1.2Lakh to 1.5 Lakh in hand. After 20 years you get 1.6Lakh- 1.8Lakh. Keeping current structure in mind. If company is getting less profit then you get less salery because perks will decrease.
2. Extended hour work:- Lol for 40% extra. First of all you have to work always extra. I get Rs.250 extra for 2 hours and Rs. 750 extra for 4 hours. It is beyond your working hours. If you are in shift then you get a little bit higher but your life is a mess.
3. You get 15, 000 for mobile once in 2 year. It vary PSU to PSU but no one gives 15K for one year.
4. 4000 DTH one you got once in life i.e. starting of your joining.
5. All above perks based on profit of company. If company goes in loss perks will comes down.
6. Perks shows in this are best you can get only in IOCL, ONGC.


Working in IOCL bases on location you are getting most of the cases(70%) you are going to have too much work pressure. I have to sacrifice many of my Sunday, many time have to work from home also. All time you have to attend call and mail.
It is very hard to get personal time.

In this year 2020, PSU-GAIL,IOCL,Bridge and Roof in Jadavpur University.Pwd also came to recruit from civil.They recruited from Electrical, mechanical, civil, instrumentation.
