9:35 "make her the center of your world. don't focus on your purpose, focus on her." is the perfect explanation of the issue with some "nice guys" and "nice girls." you should NOT make the other person your focus or the center of your world. You should always be your main focus and center, but this person clearly thinks that is healthy to "worship" the other. What that actually does is a) put that person on a pedestal that they will inevitably fall off, and b) causes you to slowly and gradually resent them because they put you second (where you put yourself)

The more I think about it, the more I realize that these guys’ version of being nice actually *is* ‘too nice’. Messaging a friend or acquaintance good morning every now and then is nice, but messaging them every morning that they’re beautiful and you hope they have a terrific day and every night that you hope they have sweet dreams and you know you’re going to dream about them and you can’t wait to see them tomorrow and you hope they’re thinking of you too, etc? Technically you didn’t say anything ‘not nice’, but it comes off as creepy and overbearing because it’s just too much.

I'm a writer so I understand the need to research but never, ever, EVER give a stranger or even a friend such a reference. Not unless asked. These r/niceguys frighten me. I'm open to the idea of having a relationship with kids but I'm afraid of running into someone like these folks. Hopefully, I can find a companion like you instead, Vincey. I'd love that.
