How much BOOST is it making?! // Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 Boost Gauge Install

We finally get to see how much boost pressure my Galant makes!
In this video I install a Turbosmart boost gauge into the VR-4. It's a little more in depth because I know how hard it is to find video guides specific to 8g Galants so hopefully this helps one of you out there.

Everyone has a broken A pillar, I ended up just putting a push rivet and a hole in the top where it normally sits in a retainer.

Typically 7 psi manual, 9 psi auto. 12 is a good number. We ran up mine many times on 14 and 12 had better AFRs.

Hey man love ur vids! I’m about a week away from picking up my 99 jdm vr4. Question for u, are you curious what ur afr is at the moment? Seems like if ur boost is at 12psi and u don’t have upgraded fuel pump/injectors etc. U may be running lean no? I’m no expert but just wondering
