Amen. I agreed with this message. Forgiveness of sin, salvation and eternal life are gifts from God for what Jesus did on the cross for us. He did it became He love us! Thank you Father God through the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 🙏

This is not the central message of the Bible. Jesus said, very clearly “by their fruits you will know them“ and “all that I have done you will do, if you believe in me“. This is not about sitting around on your couch, being “saved by grace.” This is about implementing an active philosophy, a completely revised Way of approaching life and existence as human beings. It is in this that any salvation possible is found. What evangelicals have discovered, is that the commoditization of faith, making it a product- something you have, get, or receive, made it much more sellable than it being something that you do, and become. Becoming is much more complicated, and difficult than simply “getting”.

Lets compare things to analogies

God creates world
God creates hell, (eternal btw), lets call this an electric chair,

God wipes our memories

God tells obscure people we dont know to trust and he is going to save us from the electric chair he made and pay taxes called "tithings", and if we dont we go to the chair

Sounds like a monster to me, 🙅‍♂️

It’s my belief we are born perfect but then get screwed up by all the dysfunctional conditioning of our caregivers and society. In addition to this, we are the culmination of all the choices good and bad of our ancestors. Enters the genetic gene pool and generational trauma.
