I visited Ireland about 7 years ago. i had my Australian passport and all relevant papers. I told immigration I'm excited to visit the country as it is where my great great grandfather came from. I got a hug and big welcome. Amazing

Guy is very direct & experienced, probably why he's so good at the job. Doesnt mess around. Knows the right questions to ask to cut through all the basic stuff and get the answers that matter.
I'd have no issues coming up against this guy 'cos I doubt he gets it wrong very often. Gotta keep our beautiful Emerald Isle safe.

I walked by him once about 10 years ago after a London to Dublin flight, the TV show had been on for a season or 2 and I was actually hoping he'd stop me. There were no cameras or anything but I had nothing on me and I kinda fancied having a surreal conversation with him.

Got stopped a year or 2 later and asked where Bruc was and they said loadsa people asked after him and that he'd retired not long after the TV show was filmed.

He really isn't the right personality type for a communication based job. He's totally wired to the moon and treats everybody like a perp.
