The European Union made revisions to its planned ban on Russian oil.
According to Reuters, the tweaked measures involve giving countries that're highly reliant on Russian supplies more time to adjust to the embargo.
This will give Hungary and Slovakia an extra year to buy oil from Moscow.
The Czech Republic would be able to do the same until June 2024.
The revisions come following Wednesday's announcement of a sixth package of sanctions.
Under the original plan, majority of EU nations would have to stop making purchases of crude oil from Russia, within six months,... and refined oil products by the end of this year,.. once the embargo is adopted.
